Louise Sawilejskij is a passionate music and arts worker based in Umina Beach, on the NSW Central Coast. Over the past 12 years, she has worked in venue management, artist management (music), tour management, events, bookings (events and artists), promotions, stage management and festival work. Louise was General Manager for community arts space and live music venue The Rhythm Hut, from 2013 – 2018, establishing The Rhythm Hut as one of the most highly regarded grass roots live music venues in the country. Louise has a special interest in sustainability and has actively been working on making the Australian music industry more sustainable over the past 10 years.

Louise has also collaborated with other similar minded artistic organisations such as Art Party, OneSpace, Crud Muffins, and Musicians Making a Difference and has produced and promoted events throughout the Central Coast, in other regions such as The Blue Mountains and Sydney, and produces large musical events in the Jenolan Caves. She has a roots, reggae, blues and soul program on local community station, Coast FM called Dreadlock Holiday.

In 2018 Louise established boutique artist services business Nala Music. Specialising largely in roots/world music, Nala Music has worked with Tijuana Cartel, Declan Kelly, Nathan Cavaleri, Nicky Bomba,The Melbourne Ska Orchestra, Bustamento, The Big Ilch, Rhythm Hunters and Ren Stone.

With a background in graphic design and marketing, Louise worked for music-based charity Support Act in fundraising, marketing and community development from 2018-22. Working on larger projects such as AusMusic T-Shirt Day and Music in the House, and smaller fundraising events throughout the year to help raise funds for those in crisis within the music industry.

Louise is passionate about supporting growth and fostering the arts, especially within her local Central Coast region, and mentoring local upcoming acts where possible. Assisting in the launch and growth of Central Coast Music in 2023, established by local Central Coast music industry, and spearheaded by Greg Carey. In 2023 Louise and the CCMA team created the inaugural 10 day music & arts festival on the Central Coast – Tubular Music & Arts Festival. In 2024 Louise stepped into the role of Executive Director of CCMA.

Louise has completed several training courses including John Butler’s artist management program, The Seed; AAM’s Gimme Shelter program; AAM’s NSW Roundtable program and AAM’s Revive program. Louise also holds her First Aid and CPR Certificate and is an accredited Mental Health First Aid provider including training in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mental Health and Suicide and Prevention Training.
